HAVE YOU NOTICED OUR NEW COMMUNICATION CENTER n the Narthex which includes a new desk and chair, notecards and mailbox? Have you been meaning to send a card to someone in our church family who needs encouragement, has been sick or has experienced the death of a loved one? The Care Bear ministry wants to help you by directing you to the Communication Center. There, you will find an assortment of cards for your use. Select a card, write your greeting inside and seal the envelope. Write the person’s name on the outside of the envelope and put your card in the mailbox on the table. Care Bears will address, stamp and mail your card. Also available will be a bi-monthly list of homebound and families with special concerns to whom you may send an uplifting greeting. This is a simple and meaningful way that we can all participate in this ministry of caring for members and friends of Tyner UMC.

Your TUMC IHN Coordinating Team is excited, happy, and thrilled to announce that on Tuesday night, October 25, our church trustees approved our request to be a host church in the Chattanooga IHN network. Your team met the following Thursday night to finalize our requested dates for hosting our IHN families in 2012. As soon as this request is approved by the Chattanooga IHN team, we will let you know which four weeks of 2012 for which we are committed. We reviewed your commitments to volunteer for this worthwhile outreach mission. Thank you so much for volunteering! Expect to receive your assignments in the coming weeks, with training to follow, as this all comes together. If you haven't yet made your decision to help, make it soon and let us know about it.
