AMANDA’S CLOSET—TOY DRIVE
The Neurological Floor at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis is where our dear Amanda Swartout had several brain and shunt surgeries during her 18 month battle with cancer.
Following Amanda’s party last December, the Neuro Floor dedicated a toy closet in Amanda’s honor when 150 pounds of toys were collected and sent to LeBonheur for Christmas. Amanda spent so much time in the hospital and she especially wanted to make holidays a more cheerful time for patients.

THE POWER OF GIVING THANKS
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Something to reflect on as you sit down to your Thanksgiving dinner: If you had been a Pilgrim, would you have given thanks?
